CF infielder Leah Clark hit a huge three-run home run with one out in the bottom of the seventh to tie up the game at four runs a piece and force extra innings. Unfortunately they were unable to score again and the Titans solo home run in the 10th ended up winning the game.
Patriot pitcher Haley Guffey threw 10 innings in relief of starter Emma Wyman. Guffey took the loss surrendering two runs on eight hits and striking out one. The Pats offense managed 11 hits but just couldn't get drive runners in when they got on base. Leadoff hitter Megan Loftis had two hits (2-5) with a run scored. Avery Lawson had three hits (3-4) with two doubles and a run scored and Madison VanAllen also had multiple hits (2-5).
With the loss the Pats fall to 45-18 the season and were eliminated from the FCSAA/Region 8 Tournament and the chance to get an automatic bid to the NJCAA World Series. There is an outside chance the Patriots can get an at large bid to the national tournament.
