Adrienne Bunn and Concepcion Fradera made school history as the first Patriots to race in snow. The ladies powered through a challenging slippery and muddy course on an 18 degree day in Fort Dodge, Iowa at the 2025 NJCAA Cross Country Championships held at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course.
Bunn clocked a 23:56 running within 45 seconds of her best despite the tough course conditions. Bunn outran over 100 competitors to place 198th.
Fradera became the fourth Lady Patriot to have raced all 5k and half marathon program races in a two year period. Heidi Kearney '23, Magda Barcia '24, and Iraly Faria '24 are the only other Patriots to have earned this honor.
During Tuesday's half marathon, Fradera raced to a 5 minute 43 second personal best clocking a 1:52:50. A big smile each mile of the 13.1 mile distance, she was elated to improve by so much from the previous season. Bunn completed the half in 1:49:08, again making her mark as the third fastest Patriot in school history at this 13.1 distance.
A recap of 5k and half marathon times over the past four seasons is located here on our record book page.
