College of Central Florida President Dr. James Henningsen has announced the College will add Women’s Cross Country to the College’s sport offerings beginning in Fall 2022. The program will compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) as a Division II program limited to 10 scholarships for tuition, books and fees. The program will compete in a maximum of 10 events around the State and be eligible for the NJCAA National Championship upon qualification.

Athletic Director Bob Zelinski will begin a search immediately for a part-time head coach to lead the program and stated, “this is the perfect time to begin a women’s cross country program, it is hugely popular with our local high schools and community and is the fastest growing sport in the FCSAA.”
