OCALA--The College of Central Florida women's basketball team saw a second quarter slump prove to be too much on Saturday afternoon against Daytona State.

CF managed just nine points in the second quarter and trailed by 22 at halftime and went on to fall 86-61 on the road to the Falcons.

The Patriots allowed five 3-pointers during the second quarter and missed multiple easy layup chances, which enabled the Falcons to break things open.

CF (1-1 in conference play) will have a week off before it hosts Santa Fe on Saturday.

The Patriots opened up conference play with a comeback win over FSC-J this past Wednesday night.

Daytona State (1-0) and Santa Fe (2-0) are currently the lone unbeatens in the MFC.
