Miami Dade Defeats Central Florida Forcing Winner Take All Championship Game

The Patriots lost 15 -9 in today's tournament game verses Miami Dade College forcing the "if necessary" game on Sunday at 11 AM. The Sharks got off to an early lead with a lead off home run by Joseph Zamora off of Patriots starter James Hill. CF then took the lead in the second with a two-run home run by catcher David Pereira (2-3, 3 RBI). Miami Dade followed up by scoring three more in the third to regain the lead 5-2 and added three more in the fifth to go up 8-2. CF came back in the bottom of the fifth with a six run inning to go on top 9-8. Edrick Felix (1-4, 2 RBI, 2B) hit a bases loaded ground rule double and Carson Bayne (2-5, 2 RBI) drove in two with a single. The lead was short lived as the Sharks scored 4 in the top of the sixth and would keep the lead for the rest fo the game. 

The two teams will meet up again on Sunday at 11 AM for the State Championship game with the winner advancing to the NJCAA World Series in Grand Junction, Coloroado.
