#CFBASEBALL TAKES GAME 1 FROM FSCJ, INCREASES WIN STREAK TO NINE
OCALA-- The College of Central Florida baseball team continues to roll in conference as they defeated Florida State College at -Jacksonville 5-1 to improve to 7-0 in the Mid-Florida Conference. 
 
FCSAA No. 6 CF (18-6-1, 7-0 MFC) has now won nine straight and sits atop the conference standings with NJCAA No. 1 Santa Fe College. 
 
The Patriot offense opened up the scoring with a three-run third inning. Matt Moclair singled in Zach West and later came around to score himself off an error by the right fielder. A batter later, Ocala native Ricky Presno singled in Yorvis Torrealba
 
Moclair added an insurance run with a solo homer in the fifth and West added a RBI in the eighth to seal the deal. Moclair finished the day 2-for-4 at the plate with two RBI and West went 3-for-4 with a RBI.
 
FSCJ scored its lone run of the game off an error by second baseman West.
 
On the mound, Mark Potter (6-2) didn't allow an earned run on seven hits in eight innings of works before giving way to Pablo Toranzo, who threw a scoreless inning of relief to close out the Blue Wave. 
 
CF will be back in action on Friday when they host FSCJ for game two of the three-game series. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
