#CFVB GOES 4-0 AT MONROE INVITATIONAL, CRACKS NJCAA TOP 10

OCALA-- The College of Central Florida volleyball team cracked the NJCAA Top 10 rankings after going 4-0 on the weekend at the Monroe Volleyball Invitational in New Rochelle, N.Y.

The Lady Patriots dropped just one set to Monroe College in the first game, before registering straight-set victories over Catawba Community College, Nassau Community College, and Northern Virginia Community College. Freshman libero Essence Bell anchored CF, notching 66 digs on the weekend while sophomore outside hitter Kariema Rodriguez led the attack with 22 kills and 15 digs in four matches.

Bell currently leads the state in total digs (259), ranks Top 15 in NJCAA, and No. 4 in digs per set (5.4).

As a team, CF currently ranks No. 3 in FCSAA and No. 9 nationally in this week's polls. The Lady Patriots are Top 3 in the state in: total kills (585), digs (914), and digs per set (18.28).

CF will return to the court on Tuesday when it travels to Daytona State College to open up Mid-Florida Conference play. Match is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Daytona Beach.
