#CFVB ROLLS PAST GATEWAY IN STRAIGHT SETS

OCALA-- The College of Central Florida women's volleyball team made quick work of Florida Gateway College on Friday night at Patriot Gym, sweeping the Wolves in straight sets.

FCSAA No. 2 CF (7-1) found themselves down 0-4 in the opening set due to unforced errors, but quickly regrouped to defeat Gateway 25-15, 25-15, 25-18. Newcomer Thalia Cordero led the offensive attack with 10 kills on the night, while Andrea del Mar Rivera recorded nine kills, and Nataly Garcia and Chloe Melis each added seven.

Freshman setter Suelen Caroline guided the ship with 30 assists and Essence Bell and del Mar Rivera each recorded a team-high 12 digs in the win.

CF will have the weekend off before traveling down to Fort Myers for a tri-match at Florida SouthWestern State College on Tuesday. The Lady Patriots will face Broward College at 4 p.m., followed by FSW at 6 p.m.
