OCALA-- The College of Central Florida women's volleyball team went 2-0 at the State College of Florida tri-match Saturday afternoon in Bradenton.

CF (17-12) swept Palm Beach State College to kick off the afternoon before picking up a straight-sets win (28-26, 25-19, 25-22) over SCF.

Outside hitters Carolin Santa and Marina Cruz each recorded 14 kills against Palm Beach State, while Maria Idjilov dished out 31 assists. Kariema Rodriguez notched 25 digs, recording her fourth 25+ dig match of the season. 

Against the Manatees, Cruz led the way with nine kills and 14 digs and Lesly Johansson recorded eight kills and five total blocks. 

The Lady Patriots now turn its attention to the Mid-Florida Conference playoff match this coming Thursday at 7 p.m. CF will host the winner of Tuesday night's match against Daytona State College and Eastern Florida State College at Patriot Gym, with the winner clinching the second and final spot in the FCSAA Volleyball State Tournament for the MFC.

CF looks to punch its eighth straight ticket to state tournament. Admission for Thursday's playoff match is just $3. CF students, faculty and staff will get in free with valid CF ID. Come out and cheer on the Lady Patriots to victory!
