#CFVB GOES 2-2 AT MIAMI DADE INVITATIONAL

OCALA-- The College of Central Florida women's volleyball team went 2-2 at the Miami Dade College Invitational over the weekend.

The Lady Patriots (9-8) opened up the tournament on Friday with a 3-1 (25-22, 23-25, 25-18, 25-23) win over State College of Florida before falling 3-0 (20-25, 23-25, 6-25) to two-time defending state and national champions Miami Dade College. 

Against SCF, Amanda Lebioda tallied a season-high 15 kills, while Marina Cruz added 13. Libero Kariema Rodriguez recorded her third 25-plus dig game with 26 digs. 

CF returned to action on Saturday with a 3-1 (25-13, 22-25, 25-14, 25-23) win over Florida State College at Jacksonville before falling 3-0 (22-25, 14-25, 23-25) to Palm Beach State College. 

The seven-time Mid-Florida Conference champions now turns its attention to conference play, hosting two NJCAA Top 20 teams in MFC opening week: No. 16 Daytona State College on Tuesday and No. 15 Polk State College on Thursday. Both matches get underway at 7 p.m. at Patriot Gym.
