#CFVB FALLS TO POLK STATE, HOSTS LAKE-SUMTER THURSDAY

OCALA--- NJCAA No. 11FCSAA No. 4 College of Central Florida volleyball team fell to NJCAA No. 19/ FCSAA No. 5 Polk State College on the road Tuesday evening.

The Lady Patriots (6-3, 1-1 MFC) traveled to Winter Haven, Fla. for the first-ever conference match with Polk. CF found themselves down early after dropping the first set 16-25, but bounced back to win set two 25-23. In the end, miscues and errors led to a 3-1 (16-25, 25-23, 18-25, 24-26) Polk State win.

"It was one of those games where we just couldn't execute our game properly," said head coach Angel Gonalez. "Now we just need to regroup, make a few adjustments and get ready for our next conference match on Thursday."

Middle blocker Taynan Paiva led the offensive attack for CF, recording nine kills on the night while also laying down eight total blocks (five solo, three assists). Other key contributors include: Veronica Brod Farias (seven kills, three solo blocks), Marina Cruz (eight kills), Buse Ene (eight kills), and Carolin Santa (seven kills).
