MACK NAMED FCSAA WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

OCALA-- College of Central Florida women's basketball player Shakarri Mack was named FCSAA/Region VIII Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the Jan. 29- Feb. 4 voting period. This is Mack's first player of the week honor of her CF career.

Mack averaged 21.5 points and 11.5 rebounds during the voting period and led the Lady Patriots to back-to-back wins over the Mid-Florida Conference's top two teams, Daytona State College and Santa Fe College.

Over the course of two games, Mack shot 60 percent from the field and 72.2 percent from the free throw line and recorded back-to-back double-doubles against Daytona (26 points, 10 rebounds) and Santa Fe (17 points, 13 rebounds). 

On the year, Mack is averaging 10.6 points per game and 5.6 rebounds per game, while shooting more than 40 percent from the field. 

CF is now in a three-way tie for first place in the Mid-Florida Conference with Santa Fe and Daytona with three conference games left to play. The ladies will travel to Florida State College at Jacksonville on Feb. 14, before hosting Daytona for its final home game of the year. CF will close out the season on the road at Santa Fe on Feb. 21.
