OCALA--College of Central Florida women's basketball team dropped its third-straight home game on Tuesday night at Patriot Gym.

Ocala native and Trinity Catholic alum Shambria Washington put up 27 points for the second time this season, but it wasn't enough as Palm Beach State College rallied past the Patriots 81-73.

CF came out strong in the early going and led 21-16 at the end of the first quarter. Palm Beach outscored the Patriots 23-15 in the second quarter to take a 39-36 lead into the half. The Patriots would tie things up with two minutes left in the game, but the Lady Patriots could not overcome the missed shots and turnovers.

Freshman Courtney Cox recorded her first double-double of the season with 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Shakarri Mack recorded a season-high 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the loss.

CF will be back in action on Friday and Saturday when they travel to Niceville, Fla. for the Northwest Florida Classic. The Lady Patriots will play the host, Northwest Florida State, on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and Pensacola State College on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
