#CFWBB DROPS A PAIR AT HOME

OCALA-- College of Central Florida women's basketball drops two games at the CF Women's Basketball Shootout at Patriot Gym on Friday and Saturday.

CF opened up the shootout against FCSAA No. 3 Northwest Florida State College late Friday afternoon. The Lady Raiders led 44-20 at the half and never looked back as they defeated the Lady Patriots 76-43. 

Ocala native Shambria Washington led the CF offense with 12 points, while newcomers Anna Clara Juu Mogensen added nine points and N'Mya Pierce had eight points and brought down six rebounds.

On Saturday, CF faced off against St. Petersburg College.

The Lady Patriots were set to head into half up 10 points on the Titans, but St. Pete's Courtney Butts drains a half court shot as time expires to close the gap to 38-31. The 3-pointer proved to be a pivotal turning point for the Titans. SPC outscored the Patriots 38-26 in the second half to rally from as many as 13 down to defeat CF 69-64.

Washington scored a team-high 19 points and grabbed six rebounds in the loss. Transfer Estelle Eduardo put up 13 points and Mogensen added 10 points and six rebounds.

CF will be back in action on Tuesday evening when they host Palm Beach State College at 5:30 p.m. The men's basketball team will follow at 7:30 p.m. against Polk State College.
