OCALA--The College of Central Florida women's basketball team fell to FCSAA No. 4 Northwest Florida State College on Friday night in the CF Shootout.

CF couldn't hold off the Raider offense, as NWF rolled to a 73-60 victory at Patriot Gym.

The Lady Patriots played the Raiders tight in three of four quarters, outscoring them 39-33 in the second half, but CF couldn't overcome a deadly second quarter by NWF. The Raiders outscored the Patriots 21-9 and went into the half up 40-21.

Freshman Gianni Ruemmeley led the Patriot offense, putting up 17 points and snagging five rebounds in the loss. Deja Jones (12 points, six rebounds) and Trinity Catholic alumnus Shambria Washington (10 points) also scored in double figures for the Patriots.

CF will host a doubleheader tonight, beginning with the women. The Lady Patriots will take on Miami Dade College at 4 p.m., with the men following at 6 p.m. against Albany Technical College.
