Women's Basketball defeats Miami Dade behind Rocha, Miller double-digit night

OCALA--The College of Central Florida women's basketball team got 26 points from Marcella Rocha and 22 from Tayler Miller in a 97-81 win over Miami Dade College on Friday night.

The Patriots improved to 2-0 on the season against the Sharks and snapped a two-game overall losing streak.

"We played well and Marcella stepped up huge for us,"CF coach Tommy Jones said. "We moved her to the shooting guard and she did some good things. We started Kiarah Mallory at point guard and she gave us a lift.

"Everyone chipped in and I was pleased with our effort."

The Lady Patriots will return to the court today versus North Central Missouri College at 1:30 p.m. in Miami.
