OCALA--For third time in her career, College of Central Florida women's basketball standout Thais Oliveira has earned the FCSAA Player of the Week honor.
The East Carolina signee averaged 22.0 points and 12.0 rebounds, as CF compiled a 3-0 record during the voting period.
She made 22-of-43 from the floor and 16-of-21 from the foul line during the three games.
Oliveira posted three double-doubles on her way to earning the honor, as CF took down Indian River, Pensacola State and Broward College.
Againist Broward, she posted five blocked shots, three off her career high set as a freshman at home against St. Petersburg College.
The player of the week continued a strong start to the sophomore season for Oliveira.
Prior to her efforts last week, she tied a career-high with 29 points in a win over St. Petersburg College.
Oliveira scored 29 points as a freshman in a home win over Hillsborough.
The three player of the week awards is the most in recent memory for a CF women's basketball player.
As a freshman, Oliveira earned state player of the week twice and also took home national player of the week honors. Oliveira became the first CF player since Sarah Hunter in 2013 to win the national player of the week.
