Devyn Howard was named NJCAA Division I Softball Player of the Week on Wednesday, after earning the NJCAA Region 8 Softball Player of the week on Tuesday.
Howard, a Liberty University signee, batted .435 (20-for-46) with 10 runs scored, eight doubles, one triple, two home runs, 28 RBI and two stolen bases in 13 games during the voting period.
Howard has helped the Lady Pats get off to one of the best starts in program history.
She hit safely in 11 of the 13 games and had six multi-hit and six multi-RBI games. Most notably, she was 2-for-3 with a home run and five RBI vs. Miami Dade and 3-for-3 with three doubles and six RBI vs. State College of Florida.
