OCALA-The College of Central Florida softball coach Kevin Fagan received another impressive honor when it was announced that he would be inducted into the FHSAA Hall of Fame.
Fagan, a standout at John I. Leonard High School, before he won championships in both college and pro football, is part of the 11 student-athlete class for 2015.
After his playing career, Fagan led Dunnellon High School to a pair of state championships before taking over the CF softball program.
The event is the 25th Anniversary of the FHSAA Hall of Fame and the ceremony will take place on April 26 in Gainesville.
Joining Fagan as inductees are Andy Bean, Derrick Brooks, Daunte Culpepper, Danielle Fotopoulous, Nicole Haislett, Tammy Jackson, Tino Martinez, Wayne Peace, Sanya Ray-Richards and Dot Richardson.
Fagan and Culpepper are the two members of this year's class with ties to the local Marion County community.
Culpepper played high school football at Ocala Vanguard High School and led the program to the Class 5A state championship game in 1994 against Peter Warrick and Bradenton Southeast.
