#CFMBB RALLIES PAST ST. PETERSBURG

OCALA—College of Central Florida men's basketball player Quenton Jackson had a career night, 21 points and 10 steals, to help lead the Patriots past St. Petersburg College on Thursday night at Patriot Gym.

CF found themselves down by five heading into the half, but rallied past the Titans, outscoring SPC 53-41 in the second half to secure the win. Patriots come out on top in the back-and-forth affair 92-85 to improve to 3-0 on the year.

As a team, CF had 20 steals on the night and cashed in 34 points on Titan turnovers in the win. Tonight's battle was won on the line with the Patriots converting 85 percent of its free throws, while SPC shot 65 percent.

In addition to Jackson's double-double, CF had four other Patriot players finish in double figures: Jeremy Sheppard (17), Rajan Barnes (16), Latrell Jones (15), and Ryan Layman (10). Jackson and Sheppard each dished out six assists and grabbed a team-high six rebounds each.

CF returns to action on Tuesday when it hosts DME Academy at 7:30 p.m.

CF Women's Basketball: The Lady Patriots are set to host the CF Shootout Friday and Saturday at Patriot Gym. Three games will be played each day. Friday's games get underway at 4 p.m., with CF taking on Broward College at 8 p.m. On Saturday, games get underway starting at 2 p.m. with the Lady Patriots taking on Eastern Florida State College at 6 p.m.
