#CFMBB DROPS ONE TO SANTA FE

OCALA--CF men's basketball team suffered its second straight conference loss of the season, falling to Santa Fe College 81-73 on Saturday night at Patriot Gym. 

CF (21-5, 6-2) went into the half down nine points and trailed by as many as 18  points in the second half. CF outscored Santa Fe 41-40 in the second half, but its rally was cut short in the end.

Santa Fe did a great job of containing CF's Carlos Dotson, who went off with a career-best 33 points and 18 rebounds in the first meeting between the two teams. Dotson was held to just eight points and nine rebounds on the night.

Canberk Kus scored a career-high 27 points in the loss, while Van Turner Jr., Kevin Hunt Jr., and Antwan Maxwell each added nine points.

The Patriots will be back in action on Saturday, Feb. 10 when they host Eastern Florida State College at 7:30 p.m. After the loss, CF and EFSC are now tied atop the conference standings, with CF holding the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Titans.
