#CFMBB DEFEATS NJCAA #7 EASTERN FLORIDA, REMAINS PERFECT IN MFC

OCALA-- College of Central Florida men's basketball team continues to impress as they defeated NJCAA No. 7 Eastern Florida State College for a second straight time this season, this time on the road at Titan Field House in Melbourne.

FCSAA No. 3 CF (20-3) remains the only unbeaten team in the Mid-Florida Conference after securing a 92-86 win over the Titans to improve to 5-0 in MFC. CF is the only team this season to hand EFSC a loss on their home court.

The Patriots rallied back after being down by as many as 14 in the second half to stifle one of the nation's leading offenses. CF held EFSC to just two 3-pointers on the night. The Titans currently average 11 3-pointers per game.

Van Turner Jr. led all scorers with 23 points, including a perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line and 4-for-6 from behind the arc. Turner Jr. dropped 27 points on the Titans in the first meeting in Ocala, including eight 3-pointers in the first half.

Carlos Dotson recorded his sixteenth multi-point game with 16 points, while Canberk Kus recorded 18 points and Quenton Jackson added 14.

CF will be back in action on Saturday night when they welcome Florida State College at Jacksonville for a conference doubleheader at Patriot Gym. The women will tipoff at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men at 7:30.
