#CFMBB IMPROVES TO 14-3 WITH WIN OVER HCC

OCALA—College of Central Florida men's basketball team closed out its last non-conference game of the season with a win over Hillsborough Community College on Wednesday night at Patriot Gym.

NJCAA No. 15 Patriots defeated the Hawks 86-77 to improve to 14-3 on the season and 9-1 at home. 

Antwan Maxwell (18 points, 8 rebounds) and Van Turner Jr. (18 points (6 3-pointers)) led all scorers, while Quenton Jackson added 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

CF will now turn its attention to Mid-Florida Conference play, where the top two finishers will earn a trip to the FCSAA State Tournament later in March.

The Patriots will host conference newcomer Eastern Florida State College on Saturday to open up MFC play . The Titans are the 2017 NJCAA Div. I Runner-ups and are currently ranked No. 5 in the nation. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
