#CFMBB ROLLS PAST MIAMI DADE, ON 4-0 RUN SINCE ONLY LOSS

OCALA--NJCAA No. 25 College of Central Florida men's basketball team continues to roll, downing Miami Dade College 105-94 on the final night of the Florida College's Men's Basketball Shootout at Patriot Gym.

Miami Dade came into tonight's game averaging the most points per game in the NJCAA (121.3 ppg) and one of the highest three-point shooting teams in the country.

CF (11-1) knew MDC would bring a fast-paced offensive attack so the Patriots would have to counter with a solid defensive effort.

It was a back-and-forth affair, with 10 lead changes in total.

CF and MDC went into the half tied at 42-42, but the Patriots outlasted the Sharks down the stretch to win it 105-94. CF held their largest lead of the night (12 pts) late in the second half.

CF outrebounded MDC defensively 37-32 and was able to convert 20 turnovers into 19 points. The Patriots held MDC under their national scoring average, holding the Sharks to just 34 percent shooting from the field.

Carlos Dotson scored a career-high 24 points, while Canberk Kus recorded his third double-double of the season (16 pts, 14 reb) and Kevin Hunt Jr. grabbed a season-best eight rebounds.

In addition to Dotson and Kus, four other Patriot players scored in double-figures including: Hunt Jr (12 pts), Van Turner Jr (16 pts), Antwan Maxwell (10 pts), and Alexander Oguinn (10 pts).

CF will finish out 2017 on the road at Polk State College and the Fiesta Bowl Junior College Shootout in Mesa, AZ. The Patriots will be back in action at Patriot Gym on January 3 when Hillsborough Community College comes to town. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
