#CFMBB DEFEATS POLK STATE, IMPROVES TO 4-0

OCALA--College of Central Florida men's basketball team improved to 4-0 on the season after downing Polk State College on Tuesday night at Patriot Gym.

CF took a close 28-22 lead into the half, but exploded for 47 second-half points to defeat the Eagles 75-61. The Patriots led by as many as 19 points in the rout.

Transfer Carlos Dotson put up a season-high 19 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for his first double-double as a Patriot. Quenton Jackson came off the bench to score a career-high 18 points and snag four rebounds.

As a team, the CF defense forced 27 Eagle turnovers and converted 21 points off those turnovers. The Patriots also held Polk to just 33 percent shooting from the field. 

CF will be back in action on Saturday evening when they host DME. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
