OCALA--College of Central Florida men's basketball team improved to 2-0 on the season after defeating ASA-Miami in a Sunday matinee at Patriot Gym. 

CF took a 51-29 lead into the half and never looked back. The Patriots defeated the Silverstorm 111-58. As a team, CF forced 27 turnovers and outrebounded ASA by more than half (60-31).

Van Turner Jr. had a double-digit performance for the second game in a row, leading the Patriot offensive attack with 18 points. Four other CF players scored in double figures, including Rajan Barnes (16 pts), Xavier Barmore (15 pts), Quenton Jackson (13 pts), and Jerome Merritt (12 pts).

Charleston Southern transfer Antwan Maxwell led the Patriots on the boards, grabbing 10 rebounds, while Jackson had nine rebounds and Canberk Kus recorded eight. 

CF will be back in action on Thursday when they host Pasco-Hernando State College. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
