#CFMBB ROLLS PAST VICTORY ROCK IN SEASON OPENER

OCALA-- The College of Central Florida men's basketball team rolled to a season-opening win over Victory Rock Prep on Wednesday night at Patriot Gym.

The Patriots (1-0) led by eight at the half and came out of the locker room rolling on all cylinders, putting up 55 points in the second half to defeat Victory Prep 93-71. Newcomer Quenton Jackson (Inglewood, Ca.) was a catalyst in the second half for CF scoring 14 points in eight minutes off the bench.

Returner Van Turner Jr. led all CF scorers with 20 points on the night, shooting 60 percent from behind the arc and grabbing five rebounds. Anderson University transfer Carlos Dotson was a presence inside, pulling down eight total rebounds while recording 16 points. 

As a team, CF held Victory Rock to 37.5 percent shooting from the field and forced 19 turnovers on the night.

CF will be back in action on Sunday when they host ASA-Miami at 2 p.m.
