CF Men's Basketball picks up crucial road win vs FSCJ

OCALA--The College of Central Florida men's basketball team got a school record 23 assists from K.J. Maura in an 85-76 road win over FSC-Jacksonville.

The Patriots (2-2 in Mid-Florida Conference play) bounced back from a 79-78 loss a week ago to rival Santa Fe and improved to 2-0 against the Blue Wave.

Maura, who has rewritten the school assist record in his first year at CF, added 13 points.

Devaughn Jenkins added a career-high 25 points for the Patriots, along with eight rebounds. Eddy Polanco contributed 12 points for CF.

The Patriots have a big home game on Wednesday night against Daytona State at 8 p.m. CF lost the first meeting with DSC on the road.

The Patriots will look to snap a two-game losing skid at home and a three-game overall streak against the Falcons, the MFC leader.
