Patriots down No. 5 Miami Dade

OCALA-- The College of Central Florida men's basketball dominated the No. 5 ranked team in the state on Saturday night.

CF (12-4) improved to 8-0 at home with an 82-51 rout of Miami Dade College.

The Patriots outscored the Sharks (8-4) by a 50-27 mark after halftime and turned the game into a rout.

CF used balanced scoring in the blowout victory.

Eddy Polanco (15 points), Allen Costley (15 points), Malik Dunbar (15 points), Devaughn Jenkins (11 points) and Paul Turner (10 points) paced the Patriots.

Up next for CF is another home game on Sunday afternoon at home against ASA College. Tipoff is at 4 p.m.

The Patriots routed ASA in their regular season opener to start the current eight-game home winning streak.
