Men's Basketball earns sixth consecutive win

OCALA--A big second half carried the College of Central Florida men's basketball team to its sixth consecutive win.

The Patriots (8-2) outscored Albany Tech 41-18 after halftime and earned a 69-50 win on the road.

CF won its second straight road game after starting the season off at 0-2 away from home.

The Patriots held the Titans to 8-of-26 shooting after halftime, which enabled them to wipe out a four-point halftime deficit.

This compounded with CF's defense forcing 30 turnovers, making things way too tough on Albany Tech.

Allen Costley (16 points, eight rebounds), Eddy Polanco (12 points, five rebounds), Nakia Rivers (12 points) and Devaughn Jenkins (11 points, seven rebounds) led CF in the win. Kevin Maura added five assists for the Patriots.

CF returns to action with a road game at Hillsborough Community College on Tuesday night. The Patriots downed the Hawks in Ocala earlier this season.
