WINTER HAVEN- The College of Central Florida men's basketball team won its third straight game with a 90-72 road win over Polk State.
The Patriots (14-6) snapped an eight-game winning streak for the Eagles (13-6) and also avenged a defeat suffered in Ocala last January.
For Warnock, it was his first double-double of the season.
The Patriots built a 41-26 halftime lead and quickly upped their edge to over 20 early in the second half and were never challenged.
"We shot the ball well all night and we really came out strong in the second half and kept the pressure on them," CF assistant coach Tito Arias said.
The Patriots are averaging 88.3 points during their three-game winning streak.
The win by CF was the largest in the series with Polk since a 105-73 win in Ocala in 2009, the sophomore year of former Patriot great Ricardo Ratliffe. That was also the last time the home team has won a game in the series between CF and Polk.
Since then, the road team has won the last three matchups.
