PENSACOLA- After a slow start, the College of Central Florida men's basketball team dominated the second half against Baton Rouge Community College on Saturday afternoon in the Select Physical Therapy Classic.
Down by five at halftime, the Patriots (9-4) outscored Baton Rouge 47-25 over the final 20 minutes and rolled to a 74-57 win on the campus of Pensacola State College.
One night after a close loss against Pensacola State, CF was able to turn things around.
So far this season, the Patriots are 4-0 following a loss.
Over the weekend, Rogers led CF in scoring with 35 points, while Tabb added 31 in the two-game event in the Panhandle. For Lewis, it was his third double-figure scoring effort of the season.
The Patriots visit State College of Florida-Manatee on Tuesday night, before starting off a major homestand beginning on Friday night.
CF will start things off with a home game against Palm Beach State College on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
After that, the Patriots will host Indian River on Saturday night at 8 p.m. and Northwest Florida on Sunday evening at 6 p.m.
This will be the first meeting between the Patriots and Northwest Florida Raiders since the 2013 NJCAA National Championship Game.
CF downed the Raiders in both the state and national title games that season. NWFS will enter next weekend's event ranked No. 1 in the state.
