OCALA-- College of Central Florida baseball player Tanner May was named FCSAA Baseball Player of the Week for games played April 9-15.
May, the sophomore shortstop from Orlando, led the Patriots to a 4-0 record on the week, batting .375 with four home runs and nine runs batted in. He had a stand-out performance against conference rival Daytona State College where he went 3-for-4 at the plate with three homers, five RBI and three runs scored.
The transfer from University of West Georgia is currently batting .341 on the year with 32 RBI, 37 runs scored and 10 home runs in 34 games played. May also ranks Top 10 in the state in total home runs, with CF's Christian Smallwood leading the pack with 14.
