#CFBASEBALL COMPLETES SWEEP OF LAKE-SUMTER STATE

OCALA-- The College of Central Florida baseball team completed the sweep of Lake-Sumter State College, defeating the LakeHawks 8-4 in game three of the three-game series in Leesburg on Wednesday afternoon. CF is now 25-12-1 overall and is tied for second in the Mid-Florida Conference with St. John's River State College with six conference games to go. 

Sophomore shortstop Tanner May put the Patriots on the board in the bottom of the first with a two-run homer to left field. The Patriots added two more runs in the second inning and never looked back.

May finished 2-for-5 with three RBI and Christian Smallwood continues to swing the bat going 2-for-4 with two RBI. Marcus Judd added an RBI in the win.

Codie Lunday picked up his first at a Patriot, not allowing an earned run and just one hit while striking out two in 3.2 innings of relief. 

CF return to the field on Friday for Sophomore Day at Goodlett Field. The Patriots will honor its 18 sophomores prior to the 3 p.m. game versus Daytona State.
