Patriots shutout Daytona State 11-0

DAYTONA BEACH- The College of Central Florida baseball team is on a roll.

The Patriots (25-15, 7-9) won their fourth straight Mid-Florida Conference game with an 11-0 rout of Daytona State.

CF got a combined 10-hit shutout from Cooper Wallace and Kyle Hansen.

Wallace went the first eight innings, scattering eight hits and struck out eight.

In the win, Wallace didn't walk a batter, before he turned the game over to Hansen, who pitched a scoreless ninth.

The Patriots scored five runs in the fifth, four in the eighth and two more in the ninth to rout the Falcons.

CF was led at the plate by Vincent Addona (1-for-6, two RBI, run scored), Luke Heyer (1-for-2, two runs scored, two RBI), John Cassala (2-for-6, run scored, RBI), Garrett Wright (1-for-3, two RBI), Levi Hollingsworth (1-for-3, RBI), Connor Crile (1-for-3, run scored), N.J. Williamson (3-for-5, three runs scored), B.J. Harmon (2-for-3, run scored) and Kevin Gomez (2-for-5, two runs scored, RBI) led the way.

The Patriots host the Falcons on Wednesday afternoon at 3.
