Seminole rallies past Patriots

OCALA--The College of Central Florida baseball team dropped a tough 3-2 contest to Seminole State on the road Monday afternoon.

The Raiders shook off an 8-5 loss in 12 innings on Sunday to even the series with the Patriots at 1-all.

CF led 2-0 heading into the bottom of the seventh inning, but the Raiders tied things up.

Seminole then scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth for the second walk-off verdict in as many days between the two teams.

Ryan Aspinwall had a strong start for CF (19-14, 3-8), as he allowed just one earned run in 7 1/3 innings.

B.J. Harmon homered in the loss for the Patriots, while Levi Hollingsworth (two hits) and John Cassala (double) also contributed.

CF, though, managed just five hits in the defeat.

The Patriots host Seminole for the rubber match of the series on Wednesday afternoon at 3.
