Baseball rallies past St. Petersburg

OCALA--The College of Central Florida baseball team got back on the winning track, as it knocked off St. Petersburg College 9-6 on Wednesday afternoon at Goodlett Field.

CF (6-5) rallied from down 4-2 and avenged a 14-11 loss at the hands of the Titans a week ago.

Luke Heyer (3-for-4, three runs scored, three RBI, home run, double), Bradley Felkel (2-for-4, run scored, RBI, home run), Will Reddick (1-for-4, run scored, two RBI), N.J. Williamson (2-for-4, run scored), Evan Holland (1-for-3, run scored, double) and John Cassala (1-for-4, run scored, RBI) led the way at the plate for CF.

David Lebron went 6 2/3 innings and earned the win for the Patriots.

Lebron allowed four runs on six hits. He walked three and struck out five.

CF took the lead for good with a three-run effort in the fourth inning.

The Patriots will be back at home on Friday and Saturday. They will host Florida Southern JV at 3 p.m. on Friday and welcome Indian River for a single on Saturday at 1 p.m.
