Baseball defeats Daytona, Wallace pitches complete game

DAYTONA BEACH- The College of Central Florida baseball team is ending its season on a high note.

Despite being eliminated from playoff contention earlier this week, the Patriots (27-21, 12-11) continue to play hard and earned a 2-1 win on the road over Daytona State.

CF has won three straight games after losing seven in a row.

DSC, who has earned the chance to play for an at-large spot at the state tournament as the Mid-Florida Conference's No. 3 seed, earned a tiebreaker over CF by winning the regular season series, 3-1. 

Cooper Wallace went the distance on Friday and allowed one run on five hits. 
Wallace walked one and struck out.

CF took the lead for good in the ninth when Malik Tatis scored on an error.

The Patriots got their other run on a solo homer by Christian Khawam

Nick Mira had two hits to pace CF at the plate, while Justin Ambrosino doubled.

CF ends it season on Saturday with a road game against Santa Fe.

The Saints are still in a battle for the MFC championship with St. Johns River, so CF has the chance to play spoiler.
