Baseball unable to complete rally, falls to FSCJ

JACKSONVILLE- The College of Central Florida baseball team's tailspin continued on Friday afternoon.

The Patriots dropped their seventh straight game by a 3-2 score to FSC-Jacksonville on the road.

CF (24-21, 9-11), who also lost the completion of a suspended game against St. Johns River in addition to its seven-game losing streak, closed to within one run in the top of the ninth on an RBI single by Colby Brown.

FSC-J, which went 0-3 in its first series of the year with CF, was able to get out of the jam and compounded the Patriots' woes.

Aside from Brown, Nick Mira had an RBI single for CF. Malik Tatis added two hits for the Patriots in the loss.

CF will return to action on Saturday afternoon at 1 when it hosts Seminole State. The Patriots lead the season series, 2-1, with the Raiders.
