PALATKA- The College of Central Florida baseball team dropped a pair of games to St. Johns River State on Wednesday afternoon.
The Patriots allowed four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning in a completion of a suspended game and fell 7-3, before they dropped the regularly scheduled game by a 3-2 score.
CF (24-20, 9-10) saw its losing streak upped to seven games, six of those in Mid-Florida Conference play.
St. Johns River (41-7, 16-3), the nation's No. 2 ranked team, pulled out the second game with two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning.
The Patriots took the lead at 2-1 on a two-run homer by Christian Khawam, but the Vikings rallied and won the season series, 3-1 over CF.
CF will look to snap its losing streak when it visits FSC-Jacksonville on Friday afternoon. The Patriots are 3-0 on the year against the Blue Wave.
