OCALA- The College of Central Florida baseball team dropped its fourth consecutive game in tough fashion on Friday afternoon at home.
CF saw Daytona State score three runs in the top of the 10th, before it rallied with two runs of its own in the bottom of the frame, but could get no closer and fell 5-4 at Goodlett Field.
The Patriots have dropped three games by one run during their four-game streak and suffered three defeats to Daytona.
With the win, Daytona jumped CF for third-place in the Mid-Florida Conference standings.
The Patriots got an excellent start from Cooper Wallace, who went nine innings and allowed two runs.
CF, though, couldn't hold down the Falcons in the 10th and then it came up short during its turn at-bat.
DSC led 2-0 heading into the seventh, but Colby Brown tied things up with a two-run homer to left.
Things would stay that way until extra innings, as the Falcons did just enough to win.
