OCALA--The College of Central Florida baseball team earned its first comeback win of the season to even its record on Tuesday afternoon at Goodlett Field.
With one out in the 10th, Justin Ambrosino singled to left for the eventual go ahead run. Reyes came in to pinch run after Ambrosino stole second a few pitches later.
Two batters later, Heyer (2-for-4, run scored, RBI) singled up the middle to drive in Reyes.
CF had trailed 3-1 heading into the bottom of the sixth inning, before David Rodriguez tied the game with a two-run homer to center field.
From there, the game went into extra innings, before Ambrosino (2-for-5) got things going and Heyer finished it off.
Hunter Halsey threw 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief to get the win for the Patriots.
Cooper Wallace had a strong start for CF, as he allowed just two runs on eight hits in six innings of work. Wallace walked one and struck out seven.
CF visits FCSAA No. 1 St. Petersburg College tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m.
