CF Baseball Trio earns All-State honors

OCALA-- The College of Central Florida baseball team had a trio of players earn all-state honors from the FCSAA.

Christian Khawam continued to rack up honors, as he led the Patriots with a First Team All-State pick as an outfielder. Khawam, a freshman from Miami Southridge, added the all-state honor to his CF Male Athlete of the Year honor and baseball MVP.

Entering the state tournament, Khawam hit .397 with seven homers and 47 RBI.

Making the second-team for the Patriots were infielder Enderson Velasquez (.384, three homers, 33 RBI) and pitcher Boomer Biegalski (7-3, 2.87 ERA). Velasquez was the leading hitter for the Patriots during Mid-Florida Conference play, while Biegalski was dominant for CF on the hill, especially during MFC play.
