The College of Central men’s basketball team closed out the final home game of the season with a bang, downing Daytona State College 100-71 on Saturday night at Patriot Gym. This is the seventh time this season the Patriot offense has scored at least 100 points in a single game.
FCSAA No. 2 College of Central Florida softball team swept St. Petersburg College 9-1 (6 innings), 12-3 (5 innings) on Thursday afternoon at the CF Softball Complex. The Lady Patriots are now 16-2 on the season.
The College of Central Florida-State College of Florida baseball game ended in a stale mate on Wednesday afternoon at Goodlett Field. Wednesday’s non-conference game was called due to darkness after nine complete innings with FCSAA No. 9 CF and No. 5 SCF tied at 5-5.
College of Central Florida baseball player Luis Medina was named FCSAA/Region VIII Baseball Player of the Week for the February 5-11 voting period. He batted .450 with nine runs scored, two doubles, three home runs and 10 RBI in four games during the voting period.
The College of Central Florida softball team went 5-1 on the weekend at the Visit Dothan Invitational in Dothan, Ala., picking up big wins against Coastal Alabama-East (22-0, 5 innings), Snead State Community College (7-1), Central Alabama Community College (16-6, 5 innings), Coastal Alabama-South (11-1, 5 innings), and Pensacola State College (10-4).
The College of Central Florida baseball team powered past South Florida State College on Friday afternoon in Avon Park. The Patriots blasted six home runs and recorded 24 hits in the 20-6 rout of the Panthers.
College of Central Florida women's basketball player Shakarri Mack was named FCSAA/Region VIII Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the Jan. 29- Feb. 4 voting period. This is Mack's first player of the week honor of her CF career.
