The College of Central Florida women's volleyball team swept Eastern Florida State College on sophomore night at Patriot Gym. With the win, and a Daytona State College loss, the Lady Patriots officially solidify second place in the conference.

The College of Central Florida athletic department has appointed Andrea Mize as the next head women's basketball coach effective June 18. Mize is the seventh head coach to lead the Lady Patriots. CF Athletic Director Bob Zelinski looks forward to having Mize on staff to rejuvenate the women's basketball program.
Mid-Florida Conference Pitcher of the Year Lindsay Markham was named to first team, while center fielder Kayla Jensen received second team honors and Takiya London and Karli Woolington were each named to third team.
College of Central Florida right-handed pitchers Mark Potter and Franklin Hernandez were selected in the 2018 Major League Baseball Draft on Wednesday afternoon. Potter and Hernandez became the third and fourth Patriot pitchers drafted in the past two years under head coach Marty Smith, five overall since 2014.
College of Central Florida baseball pitcher Josh Harper was named the 2018 FCSAA Bill Tuten Scholar Athlete of the Year at the annual FCSAA State Baseball Tournament awards banquet in Lakeland. The College of Central Florida softball team cruised past St. Petersburg College in the first round of the 2018 FCSAA/NJCAA Region 8 State Softball Tournament on Thursday evening in Longwood, Fla. The Patriots will now face NJCAA No. 2 Chipola on Friday at 7 p.m. in the semifinals.
