Bob Zelinski has served as Director of Wellness and Education and Athletics at the College of Central Florida for more than 15 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to both CF programs.

Zelinski has more than 30 years of athletic and administrative experience in developing and directing educational, athletic, community, and intramural programs. He directed the Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) Baseball Championship for over 10 years, served as tournament director for three FCSAA Volleyball Championships, directed two National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Swimming and Diving Championships, and served as Associate Director of 14 NJCAA National Volleyball Championships. Currently, Zelinski serves as tournament director for the FCSAA Men's and Women's State Basketball Championships hosted in Ocala, Fla. 

Zelinski recently retired as NJCAA Region VIII/FCSAA Men's Athletic Commissioner after directing and overseeing all male sports in the state of Florida for 18 years. He serves on the Executive Committee for the Council for Athletic Affairs and is a member of the FCSAA Executive Committee. Zelinski’s service also extends nationally as he served on the NJCAA national baseball and men’s basketball committees and chaired the national men’s tennis committee. He was also served in various capacities on NJCAA committees for more than fifteen years, including NJCAA Strategic Planning Sub-Committee on Division Re-Structuring and NJCAA Eligibility Committee.

Zelinski came to CF from Miami Dade College where he served as Chairperson of the Department of Health, Wellness, Physical Education, and Athletics. He created an extensive wellness program for faculty and staff, developed educational curriculum, and developed facilities for the improvement of teaching and learning in health and wellness.

Zelinski has received numerous honors for his contributions to FCSAA Athletics. He was inducted into the FCSAA Hall of Fame, received the 2016 NJCAA Appreciation Award, presented an appreciation award by the FCSAA Baseball Coaches, and has been recognized by many groups and organizations for his leadership and devotion to junior college student-athletes.

Zelinski earned his bachelor's degree from Florida Atlantic University and his master's degree at Nova Southeastern University in Educational Administration. He is married to the former Donna Riley of Little Falls, New York and the couple has two children, Korin and Kit.
