CF SET TO HOST 2019 FCSAA STATE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS

OCALA-- The College of Central Florida athletic department is set to host the 2019 FCSAA/ NJCAA Region VIII State Basketball Championships Wednesday through Saturday at Patriot Gym.

The state tournament action gets underway on Wednesday with the women's quarterfinals at 1, 3, 6 and 8 p.m. The women's tournament bracket includes: defending state champions Gulf Coast State College, Florida SouthWestern State College, Broward College, Northwest Florida State College, Eastern Florida State College, Santa Fe College, Daytona State College, and Miami Dade College.

The men's quarterfinal action will tipoff on Thursday at 1, 3, 6, and 8 p.m. The eight-team bracket includes: defending state champions Northwest Florida State, Florida SouthWestern, Eastern Florida State, Daytona State, Indian River State College, Palm Beach State College, Chipola College, and State College of Florida.

On Friday, the women's semifinals will tipoff at 1 and 3 p.m., with the men's semifinals following at 6 and 8 p.m. State champions will be crowned on Saturday with the women's finals at 5 p.m. and the men's championship at 7:30 p.m.

Tournament tickets can be purchased on site at the ticket booth in the gym lobby. All-Tournament passes can be purchased for $25, which gives access to all games--both men and women-- for the duration of the tournament. Session passes (includes two games per session) can be purchased for $10 (adults) or $6 for student each day.
